2nd SSD - Need Help!

Right, in my current set-up I have a 120GB SanDisk Extreme SSD & A 1TB WD Cav. Black.

I've got all my Steam games and such on the WD HDD and my Windows installed on the SSD along with Adobe and Autodesk programs such as 3DS Max & Photoshop, Lightroom, Flash etc.

Problem is I'm running outta space on the SSD and was thinking of picking another SanDisk SSD soon, preferably a similar size/model. Ideally I'd like it set-up as:

1st SSD (Primary Boot) - Win Installation, Music
2nd SSD - Adobe/Autodesk Programs + Other Programs
WD HDD - Steam Games

Now, would I experience any conflicting issues between the SSD's or would it be a straight installation via the SATA port and it'd be good to go? Just want to know if I'll have to fiddle around with BIOS before-hand.

Thanks!

Hum Evil I don't quite understand why you would want to put what you intend on the second SSD when you can just put it on the 1TB?

Do you really want to go to another SSD if so why not get a 256Gb and just clone the smaller one to it and use the original for a laptop like I did? At least you would have no "conflicts" going on.

That's the thing, forgot to mention I'm kinda running out of space my WD HDD as I've got my Steam library almost all installed, that and updates for existing games I have installed take up more space.

How does this cloning procedure work? It doesn't mean I have to re-install Windows do I? SanDisk do a 240GB model I think.

EvilPengy,
The cloning process will make an exact copy if done properly. If it was me I would do a three step purchase. I would look to a 256gb Crucial or Samsung Pro series SSD on sale and then clone the current SSD to it and remove it from the rig. Then clone or likely do a clean install into your laptop wit the old SSD and take the current spinner out and place in a usb external hard drive enclosure. Then lastly purchase another 1 or 2 tb spinner on sale and place that in the desktop rig for added capacity and back up !

Absolutely only means he will have to clone the laptop spinner to the smaller SSD but I don't know of many programs that will clone from large to small.

The other option would be to make an ISO onto a stick then use the activation code from the sticker on the laptop for the SSD install.
