Okay, this is really weird. Previously, I had had a ordered a kit of 4GB ram with one defective stick. After installing Win7 Ultimate 64bit with the good stick, I RMA'd the kit back to newegg. The exchange arrived today, and after installing the new kit of ram, windows only recognizes 3.26GB of it! Under the system information panel, it says:
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.26 useable)
despite me having a 64 bit OS....
Whats up with this???? I Memtested the ram and it shows up as only 3255 MB in there also...
Does anyone know why?
