My problem is even worse, when i use the win7 "screen resolution" in the right click desktop menu, i CANNOT change the refresh to anything other than 30hz! If i do, it just changes back or doesn't change at all, no matter if i change even the resolution. Installing the Nvidia driver from the update helped, and using DXdiag my display IS at 60hz now.. yet only using 1280x720 because the monitor cannot use 30hz in this mode using NVcp. When in 1920x1080, it automatically reverts to 30hz..
I'm using a 7500LE (OEM) with a 1080p HDTV. Not sure where i would get the actual edid timings from.
IMO its just baby OS bugs, and nothing to be overly concerned about. As long as we can use it for now, and send reports etc then all will be fine in a month or two
