Sorry to raise an old thread.

But can you confirm if you deleted this to recover back the 7GB?

Can someone confirm if its safe to delete this in the Disk Cleanup window because I'm facing same situation.

Regards

I never had 7 gb of trash to delete, but if i did and was concerned about the consequences,i would create a restore point and go for it.Do you have CCleaner installed?Does it come up with the same amount of gigs to be removed?

Me too never had 5-6GB of trash / error reports ...... I wasn't really convinced with this figure.

I deleted it & recovered back this portion of HDD.

Additionally, I removed the hybersys file as well (after reading so many posts about it on this forum bcz I don't use the Hibernate/sleep mode at all ...... so no point in having iton the drive).

A massive 10-11GB was receovered as a result of above actions (which I hope and believe won't be detrimental to my PC !!)

No, I don't use CC Cleaner on this new laptop (I have it on my other laptop).

BUt I guess, Win7 Disk cleanup is equally effective ...... atleast as it appeared from the 2 steps I executed as mentioned in the above post ..... So far no ill-effects are observed during running of my programs and other general stuff ...... So it would be safe enough to conclude the queued error reports of Win7 were not really "significant" ..... or may be a "false positive".

Regards

If you are already using CC,sure you know its benefits and maybe should install it on that new laptop of yours. There is also a .bat file for a real deep clean by windows, cant remember where i got it.And another .bat that cleans up event viewer by a single click.Pretty convenient...

Yes, I shall install CC Cleaner on the new machine as well.

May I know where is the option to "catch" those ".bat" files thru cleaner?

Also, could u plz tell me which options have u "ticked" in the CC Cleaner on the left hand pane side?

It seems, some of my options are left unchecked.

Regards
