8600M GT + Windows 7 (Issues)

Hi:

Yesterday I updated my laptop with Windows 7 RTM. Then I installed the NVIDIA drivers (the one on their website), after I installed the drivers and restarted my notebook, the screen began to flicker. Then I uninstalled the driver and the flickering stopped. I tried with different drivers (I think I tried 7 of them, including some 190.XX and 186.XX drivers, the WHQL certified ones), and also DOX drivers but the problem remains. Can you guys help me out with this issue?

BTW I have an Acer Aspire 5920G-6574 with a GeForce 8600M GT 512MB DDR2.

I saw your post on laptopvideo2go evedently they have removed the drivers due to waiting on a fix. Their is a workaround they say but it is not explained. somewhere on this site their is a post about changing the clock speeds. I will try and find it. Have you read thru this post it is rather long. I have the same video card and have no issues with windows 7. I just went to nvidia.com and downloaded the latest Win 7 drivers and everything worked fine.
