Whenever I download anything with firefox, it gets to 99% then it sort of hangs for about 5 minutes ( not the whole system or firefox browser just the download ) before it finishes the download. And yes once it finishes it does scan for viri afterwards. I know its not a major problem but just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

Yep it does that with me but not for more than 30 seconds. What version of FF are your running?

The latest 3.5

The hang time seems to vary depending on the size of the file im downloading. For example something under 10 mb I really have no problems with. I downloaded an 810mb file tonight and it hung for close to 5 mins. As I said its not major just an annoying little niggle.

Or you can just type about:config in the address bar, then type scan in the search box and change it that way.
