something.bat with the following content:
Code:REG QUERY "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\UpgradeExperienceIndicators" /v UpgEx | findstr UpgEx if "%errorlevel%" == "0" GOTO RunGWX reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Appraiser" /v UtcOnetimeSend /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f schtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" :CompatCheckRunning schtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" schtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" | findstr Ready if NOT "%errorlevel%" == "0" ping localhost >nul &goto :CompatCheckRunning :RunGWX schtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Setup\gwx\refreshgwxconfig" pause
Run as administrator and the win10 app will apear.

There is no need to "reserve" anything. It is merely marketing on the part of MS to "encourage" users to upgrade
Back when that round of updates came out to implement the Windows 10 update scheme, I dutifully removed them and hid them. Now I'm curious to see how it all works, so I went to unhide and update again. All of the updates that I'd hidden were there, except 3035583 - it seems to have vanished!
I went to the MS site, but it seems the only way they make it available is through WU. Does anyone know of a standalone file I can download? Might it still be on my system somewhere? Or is there some way I can cajole WU to find it again?
TIA...
I grabbed a direct d/l link (x64) from Windows Update log:
