Hey,

I use a Dell notebook inspiron 15, windows 7. Yesterday i was watching my files and programs. I deleted some programs i never use. At some moment, i saw a program called IDT audio. I thought it was a download which i never used, so i deleted it. However, when i watched a video, there was no sound. Realising that I removed the driver, i tried several system restores. It didn't work so i just tried downloading IDT audio again. Despite the fact i couldn't find it in my files, it was selected as audio driver, with a yellow triangle though. It still doesn't work.. I don't know what i should do next?

Thanks

In Device Manager click on it and then Driver Tab, update Automatically.

If it is not loaded from PC or WIndows Updates after several tries, go to the Support Downloads webpage for your Dell Tag number, download and install the driver.

This appears to be the correct Dell IDT driver. Driver Details | Dell US

It would be better to post the complete model number, there are many Inspiron 15's. (Fill in the My System Specs).

You can access the Dell downloads yourself using your Service Tag number. That will also get the drivers for your system configuration (as shipped). www.support.dell.com

Sometimes the w7 troubleshooting actually fixes things! Worth a try:
Control Panel > Action Center > Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot audio playback
