Acer ASPIRE 5742Z not talking to Dell Inspiron

I have out my acer laptop and my dell inspiron on the same network. My laptop can access my dell, but it doesn't work the other way around. HELP!

I also can't print to my dell inspiron's printer.

Hi jettj12,

Disable any Firewalls of Security Software for now on both computers.

Do you have Files and Printer Sharing enabled on both computers?

Please Enable Netbios on both computers.

Create Identical UserNames and Passwords with Admin permission on both computers.

Try accessing each computer this way=> Click on Start, type \\ComputerName\C (or the Shared Drive or Folder Name) or [URL="file://\\ComputerName\C$"]\\ComputerName\C$[/URL] - you may also replace the ComputerName with an IPAddress of the computer.
