Have hopefully a simple question on Action Center icon. I have window updates set for "Windows update is set to check with you before downloading and installing" However, my toolbar action center keeps showing 1 message, Change windows update setting, is this normal? Orhow do I get this message off my action setting icon. Thanks for any help.

I have the message too, really not to concerned about changing it, does not really bother me. In the eyes of MS, we cannot be trusted to do the updates ourselves. So they make sure we are reminded to change the settings. Trust me better to do it yourself. Sometimes they send updated not applicable to your set up. Then problems occur. Also, better to install only a few at a time to avoid problems.

If you want to stop the message from appearing
Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Action Center>Change Action Center settings under security settings uncheck windows update

I want to thank Richard for a prompt and complete answer. Also, appreciate Pauly and Krazdkiller for their input too.
