Solved Adding shortcut back into start programs

Hi I have Windows 7 enterprise. I recently installed Adobe creative sweet. I wanted a shortcut to fireworks on my desktop so I went to start programs -> opened the Adobe folder and dragged the icon to the desktop.

I had intended this as a copy not a move to desktop. I can not find a way of dragging a copy of fireworks back to the start -> Programs -> CS5.5

Any ideas?

I could re-install adobe ???

Copy/paste this path into the address field of the Windows (file) Explorer...
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
...and hit enter. See if there is a folder named CS5.5 in the right hand pane.
If so, copy/paste the shortcut inside that folder and it will be available to all users of the computer.

If not, copy/paste this path (change the username) into the address field of the Windows (file) Explorer...
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
...and hit enter. There should be a folder named CS5.5 in the right hand pane.
Copy/paste the shortcut inside that folder and it will be available to the person with that username.

Hi Thanks for that. I have always strugld with this. I have also set to show hidden files as I am the only one using this PC.

Is it fixed now? If so, please mark the thread as solved.

Another way that I debated showing is to right click on the folder in the start menu:

If you see just "Open" - then click on that and it will open the folder of interest.


Or you might see...

...in which case, you may need to look in both to see where to copy it back to.
