Adding Synopsis

The new Media Centre has a property sheet that includes 'Synopsis' and I understand that xml files can be downloaded from movie database sites, but does anyone know of a relatively straightforward way to add a short synopsis to .avi or .mkv files, for example TV series episodes?

You might be able to do that with a third party application, like MediaBrowser or MyMovies.
