Any video card would have to come with one built in because it is cut off from the rest of the machine case,
Thanks for the input but overclocking I have no idea about how to get to the bios to confirm this,

That's the PCH next to the processor fan. I made a mount and attached a 60mm fan over that heatsink.

Yeah, that's it Mike.

Gone are the days of Northbridge/Southbridge. The Platform Controller Hub took over many of the functions of the Northbridge/Southbridge interface to the CPU. On the newer boards of today, the PCH is gone in favor of what's called Multi-Chip-Modules (MCM) as the CPU took on more of the buss and display functions. The MCM design is the reason we're seeing PCIe 3.0/4.0 speeds as well as faster memory on the horizon.

Ken, I ain't picking on you, really I'm not, but. Intel has went to the single chip chipset since 4 (maybe more) generations ago. AMD for the most part still has a North and South bridge chip. It really surprised me when I got my first Intel board a couple of years ago.

Now back to the studio.

Hey, no problem. I don't really follow AMD that much. It's like reading a history book on technology. If that's the case, that chip is probably the Northbridge then and still needs extra cooling for an OC.

Doesn't AMD stand for All Most Dead. I do like what they do with graphic cards though.

I put my keyboard in my mouth....again. I just checked several AMD board and they have the Northbridge only design too.
Hmm, AMD could mean Antique Model Design. They did say after buying ATI they would concentrate more on GPU design and not the CPU market.

I'm not seeing anything under 350watts on a graphics card that is 2 gig capable which I believe photo shop 3d would need to function,
One question if you notice there's a cable connection I suppose for windows media center to pull cable t.v. from,
Would or is removing it okay and if so would that save any type of power consumption ?
It would need to be removed just to add a graphics card even a smaller one 512mg with a more suitable power consumption rate,

Post up a snip of you Device Manager window to see what the card is Mike. It could be an output for another display too.

Taking it our may save some power BUT that won't help if you use a GPU that needs a 350W PSU, yours is still 220W.

I can't find anything specific about the card other than it may be used for video capture, like from a video cam, or to display it on a monitor.
