Acrobat 8 (part of the free download) works fine on 64-bit Win 7, but Distiller and logical print device will not work...but the same was true for Acrobat 7 on Win 7. All the other applications work fine, given the conflict with Aero.

Has anyone who downloaded the Photoshop CS2 had a prompt which asked at install if they wanted to save it in C:\PhSp_CS2_UE_Ret ?

I got no such prompt when I installed and neither some others I know of except for one who said this happened when they tried to run the exe for installation.

What does "_UE_Ret" mean?

It's asking where you want to save it...I believe temporary files and for additional installations where you don't select all the options. I deleted mine afterwards, as I remember. There's nothing sinister in it.

True, but is should be asking to save to a folder with a normal name like Adobe or PhotoshopCS2, mine did.

I think I have cleared it up DV1. Here is part on the install instructions for CS2:


It is the compressed downloaded file with the odd name, not where it gets installed to. It also shows the default location where the files will extract to and should be temp files.
The original downloaded file can be deleted or save elsewhere after installing CS2.

Ok. That makes sense.

I guess then I can just save the opened zip somewhere else for re-install rather than downloading it again. That makes things easy.
