I need some more help with my Firefox. Using the Edit menu, there is a FIND option. I use it a lot. I can't see to get it to work with Firefox. With Internet Explorer I click on FIND and a box pops up for me to type the word in I want to find. With Firefox I click the FIND and nothing happens. == Thanks,

I am not getting a Search Box at all. I really like Firefox, but I have run across a few little odd things I need to straighten out. == One other question. There is a BOOKMARKS on the menu to bring down all of the Bookmarks. Is it possible to put an Icon on the toolbar that might do the same thing?

So Ctrl+f also doesn't bring up the find search?

There is a bookmarks toolbar you can turn on by right clicking in the menubar area and putting a checkmark next to it. I rarely use FF, so I am just looking to see if I can help :)

You can try to create a new profile to see if that works ok.

I still have IE 9 installed. I clicked on EDIT > FIND and a search box came up. When I do the same thing with Firefox 11, I get no box.

I added to my post above. Both Edit> Find, and Ctrl+f work on my FF (it opens at the bottom though). So there is an issue with your install.

The only issue is that I was looking at the top for the box. It is at the bottom. :o

Make sure firefox is maximised or at least make sure you can see the bottom of the window as find should show as a bar across the bottom.

With the bookmarks if you don't want an extra toolbar there should be by default a icon on the toolbar that acts the same as clicking on bookmarks in the menu bar, it's a little book like object with a star in it. If it's not there you can right click in the menu bar area or next to a tab and click customise. Then find the bookmarks icon and drag it to the toolbar.

EDIT: A Guy beat me. I can type real slow sometimes

Duzzy, you sound more experienced with FF, so your tip about the bookmark icon sounds like what he sought ;)

Well I am a long time user of FF and I do try to familiarize myself with it. Customising the toolbar was one thing I had to do when they changed to their latest look, I was really use to the Home and Refresh/Stop button before the address bar.

Anyway now he has two bookmark options. Your option is good if you have frequently visited bookmarks because they can be added to the toolbar for quicker access but it does sacrifice a tiny bit of the window space for the webpages.
