Solved AdwCleaner 8.5.0 and api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll

i use AdwCleaner for years, last version 8.4.2 works fine.
i downloaded AdwCleaner 8.5.0 and got .dll problem (as in the photo) and the app. could not load at all.
-tested on 2 win 7 machine same error.
-looked in the web and saw the error related to visual C++ , so i updated all (2013, 2019, 2015-2022) -didnt help.
-sfc/scannow - error not found.
-tried contacting MBAM support -still on hold...
Anyone with same issue with AdwCleaner 8.5.0 and win 7? (works fine on win 10)
Any idea how to solve it ?

prukeyhi, I am having the exact issue with AdwCleaner 8.5.0 on Windows 7.

We are not the only ones...
There are other users with similar complaints on their forum.
I don't understand how a security company that is considered good, releases a new version
without testing it first on win 7 :sarc:

Officially from Malwarebytes Support:
It has been determined that due to the requirements needed to keep up with updates to the latest versions of Windows, starting with AdwCleaner version 8.5, Windows 7 is no longer supported.
You can continue to use version 8.4, at this time it will continue to receive detection updates.
