aero disabled

If that's the case, I'd uninstall whatever video drivers you have now, from the Programs section of the Control Panel, and then install the lastest ones from the link I posted above. That will be your first step to finding out what's up with Aero.

You have to be the first person I've ever seen prefer Safari over....anything. Even Mac users ditch Safari in favor of Firefox. I personally can't stand FireFox, but I use it to test websites I create. I still use IE because it does the job, it's compatible with everything I need to connect to, and it is already there. If you don't want to use IE for some reason, and don't like Firefox, try Chrome or Opera.

I am finding more and more problems with every browser except IE8. I think users who stick with Firefox or Chrome out of habit (which I once shared) are missing IE's final perfection. Let's hope it doesn't go wobbly in IE9. I literally haven't had a single problem with it since the last bug was winnowed out in beta over a year ago.

I always come across people who still think IE is bad and full of security holes....but that hasn't been the case since IE7 was released years ago. No browser is perfect, but any and every time I see a "browser throwdown" nothing does better or worse than the others. Except Safari.

hi all i`m new here and to be honest a bit of a novice where computers are concerned, the windows aero on my laptop keeps turning itself off, started doing this suddenly about 2 weeks ago and to be ,honest i`v been pulling my hair out trying to solve it.now i`v found how to enable the dwm but then it suddenly diables it self again,it did it just when i was opening this page and it does it when i open pages i have always opened, can any one help please,i run a windows 7 home premium, many thanks

I had the same issue. I was using Safari 5.1. When I uninstalled 5.1 and went to a previous version this didn't happen. it has something to do with the newest Safari version.

What graphics card do you have. I have the ATI 6850.
