After getting onboard sound to work...

I recently downloaded the latest Realtek drivers for my ECS Elitegroup GeForce 7050m-m Motherboard, and the sound worked well, and also my headphones microphone worked. I do not have external (or internal) speakers, as I just use my Turtlebeach Headset for sound and communicating. When the little dialog info thing pops up from Realtek it says:
Information: You've just plugged/unplugged a device from the audio jack. This happens repeatedly for my microphone. The mic will stop working once it says unplugged, but it isn't a problem with the headset, as I have another that does the same problem. The sound never cuts out, but the mic does, any suggestions?

Sounds like a bad jack. Front panel or at the rear?

It's at the rear.

Roll back the driver. I tend not to update my sound drivers unless I really need to, as there is little point. Onboard sound is done through the CPU so driver updates will not do much.
