Album Issues With Windows Media Player

I have compiled a series of ~500 recordings; some MP3's converted from record albums, some ripped from CD's, and some downloads from the internet. When I attempt to organize my recordings into albums I am thwarted by Windows Media Player. For example, I have classical recordings from several CD sources, in their several original "albums". I would like to drop ALL classical recordings in to one Classical album. However, when I move the classical recordings into one main "Classical" album, the recordings from CDs move back out by themselves within minutes to where they were before - separate smaller albums with a few recordings in each of them. This problem only seems to occur when I have ripped a couple of recordings off an album that has a reproduction of the original album art visible as the album heading. How do I get around this?

Also, how does one "create" a new album from scratch in Windows Media Player. I cannot seem to do this.

I actually am having the same problem, organising mp3's into albums, even ripping from a cd, will not guarantee that it will go into the correct album in the player and the cover art is incorrect, alot of the time.

So I use a programme to sort this all out, its called mp3tag Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...) its free and works on windows 7. I use this until WMP is sorted out. You can edit "song title" "artist" "album" "year" and lots of other tags.

Can this software have an option for DELETING the album covers? I can do without.
