All in one cleanup tool

Hi, I am regarded as the family and friends computer problem solver and in a lot of cases e.g. slowdown/virus etc it is just doing a bit of housekeeping which they don't or can't be bother doing. However this takes a bit of time and I was wondering if there was a good tool out there that you would recommend to save me crawling through their PCs uninstalling unused programs, clearing out .tmp files etc etc - you know the kind of things !!! Would appreciate any suggestions to cut down my time.... thanks.

Try these two for starters.

Don't forget Windows 7's Disk Cleaner either.

Be careful with registry cleaning. For the most part even a couple of thousand random leftover registry files won't slow down Windows 7. If you do want to use the built in registry cleaner in CCleaner, take a couple of minutes to create the registry backup "just in case".

Well said. Make sure that you have always backup before cleaning something with that registry cleaners.

Also be careful to check which files it is going to delete. Although CCleaner will not destroy your system it may delete files you would prefer it not to. Things like browser history and saved passwords etc. You can control this by carefully selecting the categories you wish it to delete.

Hi, thanks guys - ran CCleaner and Malwarebytes and PC is considerably better..... so thanks to everyone who replied. This forum is great - I could not believe how many people took the time to send in suggested ways to answer my question.
