hello all first thanks in advance for ANY help that i can get on this problem. first off i have a self built system. so everything is clean installs. but every single program lags or stops responding to the point where i cant use the computer i have to use a friends laptop just to get here for help. all of my specs are in my profile ( sorry if it seems im rambling ive been at this for hours and cant seem to fix it). ive run most all test that i can think of. ive tested the HD ive stress tested the CPU ive done the sfc/csannow ive run mem test over night. i dont have the net on that comp but i did up date all the drivers using a jump drive back and forth. no anti virus installed (never got that far)i cant even get into event viewer because it keeps freezing and timing out. i know there is some one out there that can help me out with this problem

please

Another good way to test the components to rule out any hardware issues is to use a Ubuntu Live CD. Boot from the disk and all should work and no failures.... if so you have a driver conflict or bad install.

Here is a link to ubuntu live disk: Download | Ubuntu

If you are installing from a burned disk containing Win 7, how was disk burned. writing a new image might be needed to get a good install. (I say this in case you have installed multiple times with the same result)

Just exactly how far does your problem system go before it freezes?

Does bios finish? yes or no?

Does windows succesfully and completely start? Yes or no?

Description:
Windows cannot access the file for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. Windows closed the program PRIME95 Application because of this error.

Program: PRIME95 Application
File:

The error value is listed in the Additional Data section.
User Action
1. Open the file again. This situation might be a temporary problem that corrects itself when the program runs again.
2. If the file still cannot be accessed and
- It is on the network, your network administrator should verify that there is not a problem with the network and that the server can be contacted.
- It is on a removable disk, for example, a floppy disk or CD-ROM, verify that the disk is fully inserted into the computer.
3. Check and repair the file system by running CHKDSK. To run CHKDSK, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the command prompt, type CHKDSK /F, and then press ENTER.
4. If the problem persists, restore the file from a backup copy.
5. Determine whether other files on the same disk can be opened. If not, the disk might be damaged. If it is a hard disk, contact your administrator or computer hardware vendor for further assistance.

Found that in the $evtx_app_dump.txt you had uploaded. Im not the best at this stuff either so more people might be able to tell. My guess: This might be an issue with the connection to the HDD

Edit. ok I know where I have seen Prime95. not sure why this is in your logs though

There is no minidump crash file in your first zip file.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:
Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

This minidump file will give us the most useful information.

This appears to be a part of the motherboard monitor software.

Have you updated the motherboard drivers from your motherboard website.

(I say this in case you have installed multiple times with the same result)

ok ubuntu works fine i cant get it to crash at all ..... all the programs work great. i wish alot of programs and games could use that OS

Are you having problems in safe mode as well? can you get into the BIOS and work in there without stalling?

yes i do have the same problem in safe mode... i can get the bios to work
it doesn't start until the OS fully comes up but that even takes awhile

is there anything i can run in ubuntu to check my system .... because it seems like my system is ok running this but soon as i start win 7 again all my programs freeze up again

ok now im really confused ive done everything that every one has asked with no problems being indicated but i was still having the not responding issue with every program i tried to run so i got board while the western digital lifeguard test was being run (still has about 6 hours to go on the extended test) so i ran prime95 again just to stress test again first time it failed quick so i played around with the settings just to test the cpu more not the mem and its been running smooth so i changed it back and again runs smooth still running actually but thats not the thing that gets me .... my cpu is running at 100% my temp with real temp peeked at 80c andi have 11 programs running including fire fox streaming videos from hulu and i only got 1 non responsive and it was really quick. and that was when i was downloading adobe flash player so i could stream from hulu.

so my question to all of you, i think i read online somewhere that the WD green HD time out to much is it possible that, thats whats causing all my problems my hard drive is timing out to much and causing my apps to freeze?
