I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I've also got 4GB of RAM installed but it simply isn't being used. In both the System Information utility and Speccy, the 4GB of RAM is shown, yet the Total Physical Memory available is 2.92GB. I've tried everything I can think of and there has been no change. Please help.

Do not worry, Windows 7 64 bit is using all the available memory here.
Wikipedia said:
Integrated graphics processors (IGP) utilize a portion of a computer's system RAM rather than dedicated graphics memory.
Add your graphics memory to Total Physical Memory available and you will get your original 4 GB. Here is more info on integrated graphics.

Thanks for that. I acknowledged that it might be the integrate graphics processor, however, I didn't know that it needed about 1GB of RAM. Unfortunately, I cannot allocate less RAM to the IGP... One thing which I don't understand, however, is why my PC isn't being recognised as a 64-bit system in the 'System' section of Control Panel. Do you have any ideas why this may be the case?

What does it say under system type than? Could you please provide a screenshot?

About allocating less memory to IGP, 4 years ago I came across some custom build of ATI drivers pack (or was it a modding tool for ATI drivers). Anyway, I was able to edit that RAM parameter in the driver file. But I do not know if something like this exist for modern Intel cards, plus driver will became unsigned and won't be easily accepted by Win 64 bit.

I apologise, I made a schoolboy error(I'm actually a schoolboy). I forgot that the system type is displayed beneath the Processor information and not elsewhere on the page. It is, in fact, displayed as a 64-bit system. Sorry again for the mistake...

That tells you what is currently not being used or used for caching but available. The rest is being used. The is a normal situation and may change during the day.

Open Resource Monitor > Memory tab. The colored graph will show you exactly what is going on. Everything in blue is "available".
