Since the gadgets/sidebar are no longer available for use on Windows 7, I was wondering if there's any alternatives to a gadget like All CPU meter.

FYI, this is what I'm referring to: Windows Desktop Gadgets - All CPU Meter Version 4.7.3

Doing a simple google search won't let me find an alternative for such apps as most of them are either another gadgets or addons that is used on customized theme (such as rainmeter) which I really don't prefer for the latter case.

Thank you, help would be appreciated it.

Hello,
I used the one you mentioned, and even donated to the folks that made it.
I have found the OpenHWMonitor to be a great alternative, and I am able to make customizations to the gadget as well.

That's a good program though they're executable primarily showing temperatures like core temp and realtemp etc. What I want is a simple apps that shows CPU/RAM loads.

There's nothing wrong with using all CPU meter at the moment though the fact that Microsoft made an official statement regarding to the vulnerability of gadgets/sidebars as well as urging users to disable them, scares me a bit for me to continue using them.

Though despite not knowing about the announcement made around two years ago I've been using this gadget coupled with weather gadget for years. I only recently found out about such vulnerability.

I've just realized my thread has been moved to here on gadget section though this is not my intention.

All I wanted know is if there are any apps or programs that is like the gadget I've mentioned in the OP... Not alternative/another gadget.

I'm guessing there are no alternatives.

That said, is it okay to keep using the this gadget?

Hello Angel,

That's a good program though they're executable primarily showing temperatures like core temp and realtemp etc. What I want is a simple apps that shows CPU/RAM loads.

Actually, that's the beauty of OpenHW Monitor. You can design your own desktop gadget with only the parameters you want to display. When you right-click a sensor, you can choose to show it or not in the gadget. I have CPU load (load/total) showing in a bar graph, but not Memory (load), as I have lots to spare.
Regards

Yeah, I don't think it is a real problem using it. MS makes a lot of hype. We all have been using these gadgets for years. And the funnu thing is, they work again in Windows 8.1 and 10 coming from 8gadgetpack.net. But that does not work on Win 7 with IE11. That's why I kept my IE9, LOL.

That is funny because I'm using two gadgets—the desktop monitor for my UPS and a desktop calendar gadget—and IE11 together. All three are playing well together.

I use those gadgets . they tell me when i get knocked offline - when my hard drive is low on space - they are pretty awesome.

BUT - if your concerned rainmeter does have the exact same gadgets . you would lose some of the features [ i like my alarms saved my video card twice ] but you can still tweak the size - color [ my fave ] - and click on them to go to thier respective locations in windows. when i have to go to win 10 soon for my new build ill be using it for sure . Its in the first few pages on the main rain meter site . i get there thru the default welcome app they give you when you download thier newest version .

- windows 7 updates are COMPLETLY disabled. they bog down my system and have had real virisuses that were less trouble.
Like the others have said, you might want to check out Rainmeter. Over the years a couple of talented people have created skins very similar to the classic All CPU Meter gadget, one of those in particular is also extremely authentic/virtually identical compared to the "original" visually and functionally speaking - Best of all, Rainmeter lets you customize every aspect of the skin and its functionaliy and is very light (read: practically not noticeable) on system resources. :D
