Found a minor spelling error, preventing it from setting compatibility (Derp) - Fixed
Added an uninstall option
Added a message when it completes installing

Where's the installer? I see a bunch of coed. How is it deployed/used/installed?

BUMP! I registered just to ask this as well. I was able to download a .txt file, but no app, there is no instructions, nothing to install, NOTHING! How do I run this???

</br> I tried using the goofwear.com once, but gifs ran slowly. So I downloaded Irfanview to view gifs, but felt it was too bloated. So I tried re-downloading goofwear version, but now it won't work at all. Used the exact same procedure, renamed compatibility to Vista, Photo & Fax Viewer just shows still images. Do I have to uninstall it before reinstalling it again? How do I uninstall it?

You should read the post #9 then, maybe, post #97 (I think you you can select any Win version, I personally selected Win7)
I read the whole thread and I did it!
(For instance in the third post you can find the installer)

MS explanation is that w7 has a picture viewer and most people don't have animated pics.

Have you looked at this http://www.sevenforums.com/music-pictures-video/97830-windows-7-gif-viewer-works-perfectly.html it works as a viewer but not in explorer.

YEs, I've looked at most of them. Like the OP I was hoping someone would come up with a way to make them animate in the w7 pic viewer.

It won't work for me either. Try just double clicking an image.

It is also stated above that you need to run the file (rundll32.exe) @ c:/windows/gif in compatibility mode for windows vista or xp. I hope this helps for you. I had the same error.
