Which .lnk file?

Every item in the Programs menu is actually a file in the "Programs" folder. Most of those files are shortcuts (files with .lnk extension). Find the file that corresponds to the item you need and attach it here.

I actually doubt that the .lnk file is related to the folder handling.

What do you mean? Of course it's related :) That's the only thing that the start menu has to go by.

This link is for a program called Wink.exe, not a folder. So it can't be expanded. If the program itself shows a folder when you start it, that's its thing and the start menu can't possibly know about that.

Packed the wrong file :) ... the folder "Wink" where the wink.lnk file is in does not expand.

I don't understand. So is there a problem, or isn't there? If so, I need a copy of the lnk file to examine it.

Also try the Windows start menu and go to the same place in the All Programs directory. See if the wink folder is expandable there.

The folder which does not expand is a folder and not a link file.
In the normal Windows start menu, it works.

Hmm. Sub-subfolders are (sometimes) not automatically expanded. The folder Start menu -> Programs -> Debugmode -> Wink, for example, has to be clicked under some circumstances. Is that a known issue?

Oh, wait! So you are saying that you have a folder, and if you just move the mouse over it the sub-menu doesn't open? And if you click the item the sub-menu opens?
If so - it was already reported but I can't reproduce the problem on my machine. Does it ALWAYS not work for this specific folder, or only SOMETIMES?

Version 1.9.7 has 2 new problems:
1) There is a compatibility issue with old applications that use the old shell DLLs. You may get an error message about "ordinal 345".
2) There is a problem when uninstalling 1.9.7 on 64-bit machines. When asked if you want to backup your ini files - say "No". Otherwise the uninstaller will fail and abort.

I am working on a fix for both problems. There will be a new version either later today, or tomorrow.
