ok, I upgraded the router firmware. Problem persists after reconnecting for awhile.

Are you using IE 8/9 or FF?
I'd still like to know what Anti-virus application you're running. You may have an app running in the background that is causing the 'hang'.

Firewall / Antivirus are Comodo Internet Security v5.0

It seems everyone keeps missing one point; the entire computer is compromised whenever a "hang" occurs. It can happen even if I have not run Firefox since I have restarted, and occurs using any program and random intervals. Using any program, watching movies with media players, etc.

I am going with the notion that it occurs from something running in the background since it occurs even when nothing is running.

Run a scan with MalwareBytes

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop

* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

IFinst27.exe is Trojan/Backdoor.

These are the most dangerous, and most widespread, type of Trojan.
Backdoor Trojans provide the author or ‘master’ of the Trojan with remote ‘administration’ of victim machines. Unlike legitimate remote administration utilities, they install, launch and run invisibly, without the consent or knowledge of the user. Once installed, backdoor Trojans can be instructed to send, receive, execute and delete files, harvest confidential data from the computer, log activity on the computer and more.
If your computer was used for online banking or has credit card information on it, all passwords should be changed immediately to include those used for email, eBay and forums.
You should consider them to be compromised.
They should be changed by using a different computer and not the infected one, if not an attacker may get the new passwords and transaction information.
Banking and credit card institutions should be notified of the possible security breech.

Have you always had such a high CPU temp? Your img shack showed 66° C. Seems a bit high and could be causing issues/system instabilities.

Jacee, ran .bat as documented but now connection signal strength to laptop is low

marsmimar, I forgot my power profile was on "high performance" and is now on balanced. CPU sitting at a nice <=48 degrees.


Any other ideas for fixes?

That is kinda high for a amd cpu my phenom averages about 28 to 30 c thats twice as high as mine

if it is the whole system compramised i would look into some malfunctioning devices just because it doesn't show up debunked doesnt mean it couldn't be

Hardware can cause hang ups too but oringinally i understood it was youtube being slow and nonresponsive not it is a issue of the whole system bogged down

There is a series of things you can try to fix the issue # 1 Test the Ram

#2 cpu temp is high could it be your chip is fadding giving choppy performance and spikes because it is upable to handle what it is doing ?

#3 test psu if it is giving so so voltage it can slow you're system down as well cause there is no proper voltage going to the hardware

#4 TRY MORE COOLING MAYBE? with the high temp directed at you're cpu maybe a good cleaning and etra fan would help have you ever tryed to open and do a cleaning sometimes that is all it takes

#5 If none of these are the issues i would do a fresh install and start over it will defently kill the hang

it is only up to you let us know if anything was solved

System hangs at random

Hye Jacee. I have the same problem as Shuichiro my system also hangs at random i have Acer Aspire with windows 7 x32 i have also tried all the things that you have told to Shuichiro but nothing helps. I'm desperate and so anoyed with these random hangs Please help
