Hello everyone. I recently purchase parts from newegg.com and built a custom gaming rig. The PC worked flawlessly the first few days then received 8 BSODs which happened consecutively (in intervals of 5-10 minutes). During that time, I wasnt really doing anything demanding (surfing the internet, browsing folders). As of right now, the PC is working fine and haven't had a BSOD in the last 3 days. Yet, I am still worried.

Please help. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you fimble. I'm actually running live update right now and I cant even download and install anything because it keeps crashing. Its really irritating now. The computer runs beautifully for a few days then it crashes consecutively all in one day. If history repeats itself, this PC will run fine again for a few days then crash again.

For some reason, it always happens at night. I'd use my computer for a few days (close to a week). I'd game and surf and do all what I need to do and it runs fine. After a couple of days, it starts to crash and its always at night.

Ok. I have installed the latest realtek drivers. I'll see if it still crashes.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thank you.

Can anyone help? After a week of running beautifully it happened again. For some reason, it seems like it only happens in the weekends. It might just be a coincidence but the last few posts I made, it happened during the weekend.

I am uploading the dumps and perfmon file again. Hopefully, someone can help.

Hi,

Did you manage to fix this? I have an almost identical problem with my new laptop... random crashes/BSODs in win 7 which don't point to any driver. Memory has passed memtest86 for 12 hours, hard drive has been replaced, drivers ruled out because I tried with just the chipset driver.. sometimes it works fine for hours, then the BSODs come back the next morning and I get several in a row.

Event viewer says the source was kernel-power. Also, Linux Ubuntu works without problems on the same machine..

Yea I managed to fix it, well it hasnt crashed in a while .... turns out I had faulty ram. I ran memtest for 4 hours last time and didnt catch anything. Ran it again for a longer time and caught a lot of errors.

Good luck, its a headache!

ohh thanks! I did exactly that, and tested with memtest again, and found 12000+ errors.
I'm a bit confused as to why it passed for 12 hours of memtest86 last week, and now is finding thousands of errors in just a few minutes....
Oh well, at least I've found the problem now :)
