I know this is a windows oriented forum but I was wondering if any of you guys / girls also use Linux
I myself have been a Linux user since kernel 1.0 days....so it's been a while. I am not one of those *fanboy* types and I equally enjoy Windows and Linux and IOS. I have not had the pleasure of using OSX yet but I am sure it would suit some of my tastes....but their prices
I was wondering if any of you compile your own from scratch instead of using distros such as sabayon, debian, gentoo. It would really be great if Linux had the hardware support that Windows has...but I guess the majority of the market goes to Microsoft. For now I am using Windows 7 on my main desktop and I recently installed Sabayon_64 on my i3 Toshiba laptop. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about that my friend was telling me. I must compliment one thing, wifi worked right out of the box...I did not have to spend weeks trying to compile drivers from scratch.
