So far I still haven't looked into the Protank II like I was planning to when that was first seen this time last year and just got the Nautilus trying to make my own assessment on that one. So far only running with the 1.6ohm coil with a few flavors before swapping that out for a 1.8 or wait until the second tank arrives and pull the 1.6 and keep as a spare.

I've already tried the T3s and Evod clearomizers by Kanger and didn't favor either of those over the Smok Tumblers or Smok T-Dux 4.0 tanks(4.0s a few months old now). One tip I found with the Nautilus so far is simply letting a full tank sit on it for a day. I found that out when I noticed a well steeped bottle of a caramel cappucino flavor still felt like a tank of menthol due to the increased air flow along the longer it took for the coil to saturate properly.

I am now getting much more flavor on the second day after first trying a menthol flavor in it even after all traces of the first flavor were gone. The air flow has been good once you try the multiple position adjuster to fend off any flooded coil situation I ran into initially and why I went for a second for seeing one on each Vamo. The Smok T-Dux 4.0s will remaing on the pair of Smok ACEs.

Update on the new mod. I'm loving the new Zmax but noticed I need to clean it almost every other refill, it seems to leak down on the battery. I'm good with it though, it vapes like a champ, good flavor and a really nice cloud. I switched to using watts, found I like it at 9.5w in the AM, and 10w-11w during the day or when I'm drinking beer (my other vice).

I looked at them before I bought it (the Kanger ProTank 3) and thought it had adjustable airflow. My tank doesn't but they sell replacement bottom pieces that do for cheap. It didn't sit flush, but I figured out to spin the beauty ring up to make it flush, and that seems to cut down on the juice leaking.

I am really pleased with the new kit. I will not have to worry about a break down any more, I have a good backup. I'm going to keep looking around, may add another kit to the set soon.

Tomorrow I am going to check out another local vape shop. I'm thinking of trying some new flavors. I might try a fruit flavor, or/and a new coffee flavor

I'm 5 weeks in now, not counting my break down a while back. A couple of cigs that night, and the one early on in day 2 instead of approx. 700 cigs! Totally loving the vape and not missing the Marlboros.

Health wise, my taste has improved yet more, and I feel more energetic during the day

I'm 2 months without a cig myself, I've got a half a can of tobacco drying out at my feet this whole time too.

I don't know if I can commit to a new kit yet but I think about it all the time.

I've been vaping this Pumpkin Pie juice that's pretty damn good, I got that moonshine too but I'm letting that steep a bit.

Good to hear Derek, two months is great. I'm starting to figure out the steeping myself. I have a carmello flavor I have been letting sit, it will be two weeks this weekend, gonna give it a go Saturday. It was a little off when I picked it up, but not so much without mixing it. I'm looking forward to hearing about the moonshine.

It's going to be tough at time you guys to dump tobacco 100% of the time! If you spent years smoking it can be even worse to "snuff out" once and for all! After I finished off the last carton's last pack on 3/30/13 I still ended up with some loose packs on two different occasion one being the first full month of smoke freeness and then when someone close took seriously ill.

The first was primarily a test after a full month of vaping solely to see the effects while I have gone without cigs on prior occasions for months. Following the two incidents however there have been none since the start of August '13 and now will never be! A lasting solution for the initial reasons why I even started and continued had been found! You two are now starting to reach that point of no return which you can make work in your favor!

The ZMax is one of the other SMOK brand Telescoping APVs I had looked at. Haven't heard any complaints on those one bit to date. I just went for two tanks after trying the Aspire Nautilus and found it sold out wnen going back for a second.

I ended up going for two more elsewhere and then found one seller on Amazon with the latest Atlantis tank(some consider Nautilus 2) that should be interesting. That comes with the .5ohm coil and will be tried out on the iTaste VTR here. The coils are replaceable rather then trying to re-wrap all the time and never being exact every time! The VTR is known to go down below .7ohms which helps since the Vamos are typically 1.5 and above!

Pretty wild I'm still using the itaste on it's default settings 3.3omz and 6volts I believe and the same coil although every once in a while I crank it up just a bit to burn off any excess and turn it back down and it works good inferno is a great backup for the 6-7 hour recharge time for the itaste,

Dude, although some tanks are just leakey by nature, some have a quirk about them or another reason they do.

Does it have any removable O rings?

Sometimes removing them, cleaning them and putting them back helps resolved any leaking issues.
Othertimes those O-Rings are simply bad and need to be flat out replaced. Even if new.

Another thing, some designs do not tolerate being laid down very well and want to be kept upright all the time. Maybe try to keep it upright all the time and see if that helps.

I guess what Im getting at as although some will always be a bit leaky by design, some just have a little quirk about them that causes it. Once you figure that out you'll get along a lot better.


But so long as it vapes good and is reliable, worst case scenario, a little paper towel to wipe out the connection every now and then isn't that big of a deal.


One other thought, and this is my personal solution that works for my hardware with the same issue, FWIW-

Leaking down on to the battery connection every other refill or so, sounds like it may have a air intake at the bottom, or in In the connection itself.
The leakage may be coming from that airflow intake port due to slightly flooding after filling.

This works for my Kayfun, and Kanger tanks --- after filling turn it upside down (No battery on it just the tank) and and put a paper towel on the bottom, over the air intake.
Blow hard through it and catch any excess.
Turning it upside down is so you dont blow new juice through flooding more.

Mine will sometimes flood the intake a little after a fill, especially if I overfill them a bit. Doing this clears out any excess, and then no issues after that. Do this after every fill up and you may solve it.

Most coils I've seen do come with just a little bit of sealant on the threads so you might check that Dude and apply just a little to the threads if not there :/

SO FAR SO GOOD! Paul But it's still going to take for most anyways a bit longer then a few months to get any last urges taken care of since they can haunt at times! I know that only too well even after being totally smoke free for months after major surgery and still picking it up again. That was 4yrs. after quitting cold turkey for 8 months! Presently 15 months and growing of being 100% free and loving it!

The worst offenders as far as leaky tanks are....... DCT type tanks! or you didn't thread the tank on fully! or as most often proves to be the case... the coil is loose! That's an easy one since each time you take a tank off to refill you are turning the threads on the 510 threaded coil even with eGo threaded tanks!

You can see the same with brand new tanks when filling them for the first time and then... it's leaking! ALWAYS being the golden rule I forget here enough times is to check the coil or coil head to insure it is in tight! Also check the base depending on the type of tank to make you have that all together snugly as well. Hearing a gurgling sound usually indicate a slightly flooded coil where you hit and hold the button about a half dozen times or so for the 10seconds or open it up and then blowing air through the mouth piece or drip while the main air tube is out in the open to clear out any excess.

Besides Bloog(I suspect same as Vision) 1.6ml clearomizers I started off with following a disposable the first tanks here had a removable cartimizer core. The first leaked like a sive! The second had a locking ring on the bottom you had to remove first and then the drip in order to fill that up.The idea was to pull the cartimizer out and fill that first and then insert it back in about half way to fill the main tank. Something would always manage to leak out afterwards when not attached to the first Vamo or later regular eGo batteries the first being eGo-C Twists.

The DCT were the old CE2 style large capacity tanks still being sold while the newer tanks since then are either filled by removing the base or with a needle bottle or syringe type filler if not dripper on from a glass bottle of ejuice like one vendor I know carries you remove the mouth piece(on some not all of that type) or the 510 threaded drip tip to fill.

After numerous tanks here it won't be necessary laying them on their side that will tend to see leaking but depending on type something is loose. I was a little concerned about the Nautilus I just got in at first with 4 vent holes due to the air flow controller on the base. But I figured the sweating seen was from a need for wiping it more thoroughly after each fill. The base was back on snug but getting used to filling the tank may have thrown me off a little? Bounty quicker picker upper time I guess! :roflmao:

I think Buttery Hazelnut will likely be a bit too sweet for the taste buds here however. They also got the Nautilus back in stock again for the lowest price on the web seen there since I keep seeing the listing for them on any search for that tank. The advantage of store credit is grabbing the latest when first seen available! Aspire Atlantis That have to go on the iTaste VTR however since the .5ohm sub ohm coil it comes with won't fire on the MVP or anything else here at the present time. Even the 20w Vamo V6 requires at least 1.2ohm. That will take another week however still being a pre-order despite the availability tag seen.

Now as for more vape mail the two other Nautilus tanks plus two addon air flow controllers and an attachment to take any mechanical mod and turn it into a variable wattage device should be in monday's! Leave will Black Friday and other holiday discounts available for gift shopping ideas.

On a side note, I've found that Honey works and tastes good as a sweetner/mixer.... I have 1 flavor that I added honey to and tastes great.


All day I've been smelling something odd. I thought it was my cat using the bathroom somewhere in here since that's what it smelled like. Cat Piss.
Although I've never had an issue with her, I thought something was odd.

Looked forever to see where she may doing it. I was convinced it was her. Watching her like a hawk, searching everywhere.
Even my Mini-Schnauzer was helping. Sniffing around and looking at me like, 'you smell that?"

Then It finally hit me. The cat was innocent!

Don't underestimate cats! A friend had to give one away when it was angry in the home enviroment and did it's business all over the place! Furniture and other things had to see plastic sheets draped over them until the pet was gone. When making an inquiry to someone who raises cats I was told the cat had an anger issue of some type and passed that info along.

As for nasty smelling ejuice? I've run into a few of those! One actually is a much milder menthol/tobacco flavor blend that vapes clouds and yet cooler at the same time. I had it going where a friend stated it smelled rude! Most of the time however unless you get a whiff of the initial blast the vapor will dissipate too quickly which can work out better when you have people gathered around.

You wouldn't have a link for the Black Vaporator would you? ThrashZone I came up a bit empty on that one.

I was looking that as well as the others while searching for the Tardis skin I was after. Those go right on with ease once you work the paper backing off a bit and fit nicely! They also offer a second catagory for lower priced more solid color type wraps.

The guys really nice I emailed him and he swapped out the v-black for the v-digital without issue after it said shipped
I was under the impression the eyes would be on both sides since there was no two sided image to see and he understood and said the digital was nicer
So I took that and asked to switch it
I believe my order was #1095 so I believe this is a new site and needs a bit of work still ?
