Great going Doug, 3 weeks is excellent. Keep it up mate

I quit cold turkey once for 8 months and still fell back into the former habit. At other times I went without for months and still found it easy to pick up again. The stretch of three weeks is a good start mind you but determination to accomplish the goal as well as resisting that awfully familiar temptation will be the real battle!

I know from experience here already about that little tweety bird in the back of your mind that hints: "wouldn't you just like to light one up? it won't hurt!" That's when you pull out a tennis racket and smack it around the court!

I quit 2 or 3 times for 1 or 2 months over the last 10 years or so (cold turkey too), it was really hard and a total battle, obviously I gave in both times in the end.
I also had a bad time around 10 days back where I was very close to having a cigarette. I couldn't get it out of my head for a few hours. I switched juice and thankfully after a while I was alright again. Been fine since touch wood.

Oh I had my moments one was the initial test after a set date to stop the regular habit where I intentionally had someone get me four packs a full month after the initial stop to take notes on the effects this time however after having been vaping regularly compared to the previous times when there was no such thing. The first cig just about put me horizontal! I did finsih all those off however and thought I was done until someone close got seriously ill. After those however it was obvious where they were going to stay... on the store shelves! Just remember one other thing!

That tweedy bird does show up time to time, but I'm going Sylvester mode now

Well, I admit you are the master of adding voltage to things, Paul. But, I'm just curious, you put through 2.0 Volts through your CPU, how many volts does that equate to in an APV? Not that I am crazy enough to try it. Just trying to learn from the destroyer of all things that allow you to add volts.

This thread was going for some time before I was pointed to it by one of the admins. Some time back I had mentioned I was researching vaping and then heard about this one here. And you will find that switching to vaping as a habit will tend to have a much more noticeable impact as far as quitting since you made a much larger change to ward off the old impulses to light up!

Well, I admit you are the master of adding voltage to things, Paul. But, I'm just curious, you put through 2.0 Volts through your CPU, how many volts does that equate to in an APV? Not that I am crazy enough to try it. Just trying to learn from the destroyer of all things that allow you to add volts.

With variable batteries or mods the specs on the tank or clearomizer typically show the best operating range as far as voltage which also can depend on what the resistance is for the coil or atomizer. The non variable batteries will be 3.6v while many tanks run better at 3.9v-4.2v and most max at 4.4v. RDAs can vary and with some mods now seeing a 9v max and running 20w, 30w 50w, 100w 150w, or the largest so far being 180watts those tend to require and RDA with a gauge wire that can handle it.

Variable batteries as well as many mods generally run 3.2v or 3.3v(Vamo type VPV) upto 4.8v. Stepping up from the typical eGo or eVic 3.7v to let's say 4.2v will make the vapor warmer as well as effect the flavor and vapor level at times. Look back on some of the previous and you'll see what we were referring to about that.

Sooner or later you will be seeing a 500w mod out there too! And then look at the price tags along with it!

There is such a thing as going a bit overboard from what I have been finding. While some prefer clouds when vaping or at least a hardware combo that gives the extra without a fuss I have found a good deal of this stuff being intended more as "Crowd Pleasers" when compared to the intended purposes of smoking cessation as opposed to using the prescription type of wearing a patch, lozenges, inhaler, or some new pill in order to quit the habit.

In a lot of ways it doesn't send a good message for those looking to quit when they see high priced items and clouds and not practical application along with good information at times. But then someone will turn around and ask: "Well which you rather have smoke filled rooms? or Clouds of Vapor?! The problem I see at times isn't actually cloud makers but price gouging! But wherever $$$ is to be found the greedy are sure to step in!

Wow. Thats a bit overboard, at least would be for me.
Mine goes up to 6 volts and/or 20 watts I think. It may only be 15 watts.
At any count, I never go that high. 4-4.5 volts is the range I stay in, usually 4.0 or close to it. which is 10-12 watts give or take,. More than enough for me.

Something like this is mainly for the advanced users with some money to burn when you compare it against what you may already have to how much you would pay out for something like this! Yet people will jump on it since they can compete with others to see who can make the largest clouds of vapor. Go through a tank full in 10minutes!

Thats probably what those who buy it will use it for.

Build a dual 0.5 Ohm coil or so, crank up the juice and put 100% pure unflavored VG in it for maximum cloud production.
Could probably fill a small room completely with a thick cloud with 1 big pull too LOL.


Thats would be fun for giggles though. But i can't see myself investing that kind of money just to see who can make the biggest cloud.

I don't have anything fancy. I started with disposables, then bought an eGO Starter Kit and I now have an Innokin iTaste V3. Not fancy at all but they helped me quit smoking and that's a miracle.
(Sorry the the pics are so huge. I don't know how to make them smaller??)
