I'm going to need a third mod stand just for things once the other three are in! I expect the Smoktech BEC Pro 50w bluetooth mod in either monday or tuesday next week as well as two others ordered at 10% from Fasttech plus four more eGo-V V4 Mega batteries to hold onto.

Overall when you compare how much would have been spent on cartons of menthols compared to the Black Friday/Cyber Monday week specials and sales going on I saved big time on both health costs and the $$$$$!! The investment of course will save on costs later if deciding throughout 2015 to have ordered the same if not taking the advantage of upgrading the hardwares now.

At 30 watts you can actually get far more out of the particular flavor Boaldwalk Bliss seen in cloud form there then at 7w on the eGo vv/vw 3-15w batteries or even on the MVP running at 10w while the Nautilus is a great performer as well even at 7-10w. I went right through the 2ml capacity in a very very short time however being the down side with the Atlantis.

I plan to run with the menthol flavors when turned up like that however for steam cleaning the allergens out of the sinuses fast! Now add the new stuff there excluding the VTR, MVP, and pair of aluminum Smok ACEs used to show the new tanks to the recent snap of the two mod stands already filled to the brim not mentioning the other eGo batteries 1100mah and mini 350s as well as still having a number of cig size batteries to get a good idea of what can be accomplished! Literally thousands of $$$ not spent on tobacco in any way, shape, or form!

I'm looking at getting another set of batteries, mine are 18350 a/w 700s. They are the ones I got with the zmax I bought. The guy I bought from told me that I should never use other than 700s, but I see that you have. So the 1200s are safe in the zmax mini? Just wondering why he said that. Is it something with the Sigelei's, or just his opinion? From what I have googled, the A/Ws are quality, but the extended life of 1200s would be nice

With any regulated mod you simply go for the unprotected high drain 18350s! At Amazon I picked up a pair of two per pack DemonFire 1200mah high drain type 18350s now in use on the Guardian which isn't even regulated or have room for a fuse but also not in constant use. The high drain type still supplies power down to about 3.2v before needing to be recharged when used on something that draws on higher amps then the usual 3.7v battery charged upto 4.2v.

That type will run longer even with less mAh power then the average where a 700 HD will last just about what you would see with a regular 1200mah battery. The HD 1200 should be lasting even longer here. The advice on using the unprotected type in a regulated mod comes from someone who has been at it for a good number of years now and wrote a guide about this on another vaping site. The other batteries I ordered from Orbitronics won't be coming in until at least the end of the month since those are being shipped in from China. That was actually the first order when first seeing the smile.amazon link and got prompted to order them on the smile page once I selected the Vape for Vets option where 5% is donated off of the total price. I'm still waiting endlessly for the Smok Guardian II variable wattage epipe I ordered now almost 30 days ago that only a few places have seen come in. When spotting that many for a good price I snagged those up!

I still have some old 18350s from the first Smoktech DSE601 automatic epipe with plastic inserts instead of threaded on tanks I ordered by mistake missing the one i was after by one digit 601C. The 618 model that followed was then 510 threaded and eventually the Guardian mechanical version I got was followed by the one I'm still waiting for. Those old 700s can still work along with a few other UltraFite 3.7v 1200s I ran into a year ago. In an APV like a Vamo you can run with one or two in order to sub for an 18650 with the pair installed as a series.

I wasn't sure on the DemonFire batteries at first but had heard good reports on those. With the UltraFires I have been using the unbranded version of the 5000mah pairs I picked up at Tmart.com for $7.58 some time back and not one problem. Those were 18650s however while I know the brand is good.

As for Efest? Forget those! If you get into some aluminum mods regulated or not the batteries are simply too fat to squeeze down in! I have some 3400mah 3.7s I could toss into the trash bin if you follow me on that. While those are still a good brand they are best left for flashlights!

I'm finding that I prefer the Nautilus now over the Smok Tumblers while those are great for use on the eGo type VV/VW batteries as well as the smaller 3-15w or like iTaste VV v3.0 and the MVP which are 6w-11w the ideal wattage range for those.

The Nautilus however was the first 5ml size tank except for the Smok HBC 5ml and GBC(plastic body alert) 4ml tanks that actually outperforms the Tumblers as well as running upwards of 14w without going too hot on the vape from a particular flavor. Some stuff you have to keep down under 10w for sure since those ejuices run best at the cooler temps. Sounds like some cpus I could mention as well!

Presently however being that it's a smaller 4ml tank I've been running with the more recent Smok T-Dux 4.0 tank on one of the Eleaf iStick 20w mods here while keeping the other tucked away in pocket with a Tumbler and Bending Adapter to have on me. For a good size tank without being too big for something smaller those seem to work well. But they lack the air flow control and a beauty ring on a 510/eGo adapter seems to allow for better air flow then when flush down on a Vamo or other 510 connector.

Not read all 103 pages here but my son and daughter-in-law have just started using them.

Me I used the patch, I tried before even went to a doctor and had hypnosis but it didn't work so I obviously wasn't ready to give up. Then after 60 years of smoking decided to give up, got a box of lozenges one Friday couldn't stand them they were horrible but I put up with them over the weekend then on the Monday went to the doctor and got a course of the patch.

That was nearly 9 years ago and I couldn't believe how easy it was.

Back after only 3yrs. of regular cig smoking at 3packs a day I quit cold turkey for about 8months straight without any patch, gums, lozenges, inhalers, or pills! Will power determines if you really want to do something!

Besides being a nasty habit and club hopping in those days the menthol served a purpose that has been replaced by a smoke free alternative. Going back to smoke over vapor? No longer possible!

I think a good number of people who read this thread won't want to miss this one!

Well I decided to grab a Big dripper with a 5ml tank you can look at Amazon.com : Big Dripper Clone with Drip tip : Patio, Lawn & Garden

I also ordered a reel of 100ft of 32 gauge awe wire to try some rewrapping over time as a sort of pet project. Meanwhile the Smok BEC Pro which would have been in saturday if shipped by frist class was sent by flat rate and arrived at the local PO early this morning but not being delivered until tomorrow. The tracking was finally updated to show that.

What resistance are you aiming for? 28g around a 5/64 drill bit for example, at 7 wraps is about 1.5. 6 gets you about 1.3 ohm.


32g is pretty thin and harder to work with than 28. You may need to use more wraps too if you want to be over 1 ohm, which may end up taking longer to heat up if you use to many wraps.
But it works well for sub ohm, dual coil, and twist builds.


I guess what I mean, if you want 1ohm and higher single coil builds you may find 28 to be a better choice.

Under 1 ohm single coil, dual coil and/or twist builds you may find 32g to be better.




For example, a dual coil build with 28 ends up being over well over 2 ohm, closer to 3 the way I want to build it.
Same wraps, using 32g with a dual coil will be 1.2 or 1.3.
So 32g is ideal here.

For single coil, 6-7 wraps of 28g is best for my intended use.
Same single coil build with 32g ends up being below 1ohm (around .6 - .7 or so), which my Provari dislikes.
So 28g is the ideal choice here ... at least for me.


May be perfect for your intended use not sure, just mentioned in case it helps.

I have plenty of options for 1.5 and above simply running with the tanks I already have with the exception of the Atlantis. The 32 gauge was specifically ordered for sub ohming purposes being the gauge of wire being recommended for that purpose. The idea however is not to try and make the primary but a pet project I can work with on the side in order to get the hang of it in that sense!

One thing I should point out here while I am at it since no one else has seen to so far concerns recharging batteries. I have heard some in discussions talk about how to they intend to use higher amperage charging methods simply to see batteries charge up sooner then what the manufacturer recommends! Most wall plugs are 5v ranging from about 450mA up to 650mA.

Portable 1000mA or 1A chargers are agailable as well but mainly geared for charging up IPhonies and other cell phones which would pull heavily on the 3.3v pc type usb port. I had a self powered 4port hub lose two out of the four when trying that out with a small Samsung cell phone! But this is simply a reminder of what not to do which is to not pay attention and checking to see if batteries start getting hot!

Ah OK, I must have missed that. 32g will suit you just fine then!

Something that helps make it a bit easier to work with is if you have a little propane torch. Cut the wire, then heat it briefly with the torch. Not to much or it'll melt. But a little will make it less "springy" I find it helps to in reagrds to wrapping the coil. It'll hold shape easier.

I don't have a propane torch but I can hold it over the burner on a gas stove if you think that will help any! I don't think I would be needing flame retardant gloves at all but a long pair of needle nose pliars with some good insulation on the handle portion should work.

Did have some long nosed candle lighters at one time but those never last long! I think at this point I would be rather reluctant to pull out one of the two Zippo lighters since one looks like an ecig! :roflmao:

Actually a regular lighter is all that is needed for 28 or 32 gauge Kanthal wire. As far as going to CVS for a bag of cotton balls Walamart carries the same without the store name on them. But many prefer to get the imported cotton in small sheets instead. The principles are basic however where I can refer to a basic guide like the one seen at How to Wrap a Nano Microcoil with Cotton Bed for a Vortex RDA

In the guide there the suggestion for using a lighter for the actually brief heat treat of the wire which is what is being seen when sligtly tempering the wire. What gets me about 90% of the YouTube videos these people post up shows them making sure to a longgggg... puff to toss a cloud at the end of any video guide they make up! I put an orange, Cherry blend in the Atlantis at 30w and then later drop in the Wintergreen/Menthol flavor now in at 40w and guess which one will push out a cloud with ease? It won't be the menthol!

Actually I go look over several guides as part of a reference library I've been working on. That includes several medical and scientific research articles as well as other types of guides as I go along but won't be necessarily adding that one there in.

First I have to get the Big D in first however and see how that is set up along with the wire. I already have a bag of cotton balls I use to rewick the coils in the Tumbler tanks. I already have a meter I got from a place that sold testing equipment back in the late 90s before that closed up. But I couldn't get the scope I wanted at the time since I wasn't a business owner or buying for a company.

Ive tried both types of cotton. I got some at walmart and it tasted horrible. Apparently, some get bleached is why. It's also why some will recommend you boil your cotton and let it dry overnight. I didnt want to go through that.



I got some of the Japanese Organic cotton at Amazon and its really good. Highly recommended. Its also a little more absorbent. or sucks up more ejuice faster. Huge plus when vaping at higher wattages.

This is in little squares so its easy to get a nice little strip to thread through your coil.


You dont need to heat the wire before wrapping. Sometimes i just wrap the coil, as tight as possible, mount it and the heat it with the mod. After it glows use tweezers to tidy it up.
The heating step just makes it a bit easier and the coil will easier to tighten up after mounted.
Personal choice really if you want to or not.

That Kayfun V4 looks nice on the P3. I'm still building up to that kind of mod just not ready to plunk that much coin down...yet.

I'm still loving the Nautilus. Have a bit of a cold now, our weather hits 80F one day, then drops to freezing the next

I have a little congestion so switched to a lighter juice and all is good. I'm still debating on getting a box mod, or just stick with the tube style, but I do want to try subohming. The Atlantis looks awesome, but I'm waiting to hear about the Kanger Subtank. So far the plus for it is the amount liquid it will hold.

I found with some of the darker juices it vapes good at 9 watts, and the clearer juices at 10. I think my cold has a little to do with that so will continue to vary it

The cotton I had someone pick up for me is CareOne 100% cotton found in the baby section there. I was able to take apart several of the Smok coils used on Tumbler, Trophy, HBC, GBC, RBC, and some other tanks before the T-Series arrived but couldn't get the consistency I was looking for with some down as low as 1.7ohm on a 2ohm coil.

The Japanese cotton there comes in flat sheets rather then the fuss required to tear small pieces off of cotton balls in order to twist and shape the way the original wick was or how it will mesh with the RDA, RBA type coils.

Heating the wire either by flame or by firing dry wouldn't be any problem as far as a slight heat treat for prepping it. Most likely just a half dozen burst fires dry would suffice without the need for using a lighter or torch. The old Zippo lighter I would rather leave in the "Forget Me Forever" archive!

What most don't know is that the US is the one who originally supplied the Japanese Textile industry with cotton in the early 1900s before the first World War came along. There's also some comparisons made between domestic and Japanese cotton as far as cloud making as well as the taste comparisons. I came across one discussion where someone was saying that Agent Orange is still in use once the growing season is over on domestic grown cotton? I would think more in the lines of bleached or prewashed at least to be labeled sterile cotton with some packaging while most I ever see is packaged simply with 100% in print.

The Atlantis is a great one! Dude and finding a bargain price that isn't already sold out will be a challenge at this point!

Yea the kayfun v4 looks really nice. Im not ready to put that much into one though. Although I love my Kayfun Lite and think it was worth the cost. But it works so well I cant see getting a newer model.
According to that review, its nearly identical in regards to flavor/vapor production. Though slightly better flavor.
Mostly better design for future modding.


A lot of money..... But I do really want the new Provari. But have been look into box mods. Like a DNA30 or 40. try some sub ohm maybe .. but I dunno. Pretty happy with my current setup. Makes it hard to justify.
