Are you noticing any tightness in the chest at all since you stopped? By the time I stopped completely last year I could feel that gradually getting worse with it taking some time to ease off where I no longer noticed it now only a little bit. That's the irritation in the passage ways mostly due to breathing in warm vapor that still reveals that while lessening over time as the irritation clears up.

If you're asking me that, I hadn't really thought about it, but maybe a little, now that you mention it.

Another interesting side effect though.

Before finally reaching the point where I already knew I would no longer be "lighting up" I had already been cutting down due to the accumulative result of 35+yrs. of smoking and how I was noticing the tightness and irritation as I was already gradually reducing how much I was smoking in the last few years up until the fall of 2012 when first starting off. It became even more noticeable if lighting up another soon after the first. This however was noticed from smoking menthol not regular tobacco.

A better trade? Well consider not only the $$$$$ saved as far as what it usually costs to vape but consider the health costs smoking can bring about! The Big Pharmaceticals however hate ecigs since they prefer to have you sick and depending on them! $$$$$$$$$ in their pockets! NO THANKS!

I never got any tightening myself ... unless I did and just do not remember it.

But I do remember after 2 weeks or so of vaping having coughing fits. I'd be hacking up nasty stuff too. I thought at the time maybe I was allergic. It cleared up, came back a week later then was gone.
Apparently, from what I read its a natural "Lung Purge" as they call it. happens mostly to those of us who were heavy smokers before hand for a long period of time.


Vaping probably isn't the healthiest thing in the world, but Im convinced it's a huge deal better than big tobacco.
After I was away from a 2pack a day habit for 6 months to a year, I was able to mow the lawn now with far fewer "catch my breath breaks". Before, I had to stop 5 or 6 times to catch my breath. Now just once does the trick on those mild days and 2-3 on very very hot days. (but anyone would need a breather on those days)

Somethings gotta be said about that!

I guess what I mean, if asked if vaping was a good idea Id say if your already smoker by all means do it, it works!!! You'll feel better for it!
If you're not a smoker and just want to try a "healthier ciggarette" . I'd say, NO it's a very bad idea.
The nicotine is a rough habit to break. No point even starting it.



BTW, I've got a cloned recipe of Deadly Sin thats pretty close. Not quite, but close. So thinking instead of trying to get it perfect I may try and make it something of my own.

Those that have tried it, what do you think would make it better? More Cinna-bunn type flavor etc?

Im thinking maybe a bit more on the tobacco side as one test ... and maybe a bit of Butterscotch for another. Not a lot, just a little.... So many possibilities with this one.

The tightness I was feeling and referring to was caused mainly by the constant irritation from hot smoke as the brand was evidently being made a bit cheaper will less tobacco that gradually burner hotter. Plus I had reduced the amount I was smoking through the years where I was apparently feeling the effects more!

At first you would start coughing up a good deal of the crud that had accumulated in the lungs and passageways since everything is lined with mucus. Even for a bit of time that was clear following a full month at first of strictly vaping without and later with so many loose packs at the beginning of May 2013 and then so more at the end of June into when someone else got sick. That part of the mucus membranes cleaning things out is expected and dissipates rather quickly compared to how much damage has been done by hot tar entering the lungs from smoke!

You should started noticing food was also a bit more satisfying as the taste buds were coming back to life! Those hot means taste much better now don't they?! And yes you do feel a bit more energetic when you don't run out of breath as soon as you start working on anything physical. You can now take longer walks as well as fewer breaks in the warm weather when tending chores!

Now as for ecigs being addictive the hype on nicotine alone is far from actual reality! Big tobacco was called out for spiking nicotine levels which also was a far cry from what was actual science in that all those other chemical additives Big T has been loading their products up with over the years interacts with nicotine when combined in the brain since nicotine alone isn't much more then the stimulant caffeine is and companies wanted to make life time slaves out of their smoking customers! Another reports explains somewhat of how the craving to light up is drastically reduced by the vaping experience which many realize is quite a bit different. Some of us however are fully aware that with or without nicotine present the only effect realized is that on the flavoring since nicotine reduces that a certain percentage as well as making the vapor a bit warmer. I've tested the exact same flavors on the exact same tank(s) with and without and found that was where the difference was after a former 4 pack a day smoker had made the observation. In part of the discussion on that report someone had to be reminded that you wouldn't make any declarations of how wonderful ecigs where to some kid while you might think to yourself when coming a kid who has one that he was the smart one there not chancing it with things much worse! The fact that more teens have turned to sneaking ecigs rather than lighting up does show some general progress has been made at keeping kids away from the worst offenders! Not being gateways for kids to pick up what they then would find disgusting! Smoking tobacco on the other hand has been what has lead so many to other things!

Still vaping. I mentioned earlier I tried a cereal flavor colonel crunch I think it was. I wanted to try a fruit flavor so I went with a flavor called Loopy Fruit. The description said "Mix of many berry and fruit flavors". I will give it a try soon, I hope it's good. I did like fruit loops cereal when I was a kid

I picked it up at my local B&M shop, it's half price weekend again. I also got another bottle of Bavarian Hazlenut Cream since I really like it. I always get other flavors, but that one is amazing to me

I'm still looking at getting another mod to try sub-ohming, but I have to say the Nautalis tank is great and I am happy with my current setup. I justify another mod as my original one, the iTaste clk is a built in battery one. It is good, but I like the zmax better cause I can just get batteries(when my current set dies), which will be a long time from now I'm sure.

Today I was on my vape break at work, and a guy was out at the vape/smoking area. He said I see you have a bong :roflmao: I said not really a bong but yeah. He said I don't think I can trust them, what's in that PG stuff. I told him to do some research like I did. I said I'm not going to tell you they are safe, but they are a better alternative than tobacco in my opinion. I then told him my story.. how long I smoked, and my short but great vaping expierence. He was amazed when I told him the benefits I feel, like breathing, tasting, and feeling better. He asked where do you get them at. I explained while online is better, a local vape store can give you eyes on. When I was leaving the store today after getting my juice, he pulled up . I wished him luck!

I have someone who is the son of a friend of mine who passed back in 2010 from a sudden stroke one night when going to shovel snow. Right when he was taking his wife out for some fast grocery shopping a plow truck came wizzing by and blocked him. He had a bad valve but refused to be laid up in order to care for his ailing wife.

The son who started smoking in recent years was given some of the old stuff here to try vaping and now says he needs to be shown how to fill clearomizers. Perhaps the XMas gift being a starter kit will prevent him from running into the same type of heart condition his father had?!

I have a friend here that once he saw the first Vamo he declared "Look at the Hookah he has!". These are far from being Hookahs used in the Middle East! for cooling purposes after being out in the hot desert sun being the original purpose for those. Of course WikiPedia always has a picture of what a Hookah is with several tubes where people sit around have a cool smoke of a tobacco. Ecigs are in an entirely different ball park! Every little bit helps! For the most part the populace has been mislead about just what ecigs are for namely substituting vapor for smoke!

Nothing in the research and studies so far has indicated any sign of any long term effects while some can develop allergies to PG and then have to switch to 100% VG or distilled water used by some brands. All I know is that tobacco is now a thing of the past! But I still have people I know that haven't realized the overall benefits and trying to get a few who only in recent years started smoking to consider a much better alternative.

I get into some interesting flavors here put out by one vendor where that one just came out with Temptation being an Apple/Caramel/Graham Cracker type blend to resemble apple pie crust to a degree. Another is Boardwalk Bliss being an Orange, Tangerine, Cherry type blend that gets some great reviews.

Lately I've run into some freebies of interest as well while hardware shopping that included a Pumpkin Pie flavor which is seasonal. Try adding a peanut butter cup, Butter Hazelnut, and even a Cinnamon Roll to go from one of the two vendors for the Eleaf iSticks I ordered and had to add in Strawberry Ice a Strawberry Menthol mix that works for me here.
