Asus ExpressGate: Is It Obligatory?

I built my new computer about 2 weeks ago, and when I was installing the drivers and such with the Asus disk, it installed Asus ExpressGate. It's basically a light OS that you can use as soon as you boot. The thing is, I have Windows 7, and I don't want ExpressGate hogging 10 seconds of boot time before it goes away. Is it safe/recommended to uninstall? Thanks in advance.

You will find the option to disable Express Gate in the BIOS. Easy beans.

I would just disable though you can uninstall.

That way you can go back into bios and re enable if you need to.

I needed the internet access once when Windows wouldn't boot.
Basic browser services that way but you can get to Sevenforums etc. if needed.

How do you uninstall it? I checked in the Control Panel but it doesn't seem to be there.

Start menu> All Programs> Express Gate. Then click "Installer". Follow prompts.

I would just disable it but suit yourself.

Also Control Panel> Programs and Features> Express Gate. Select Uninstall.

I was just curious, I have lots of room for ExpressGate. I'll just disable it

Excellent idea.

You never know when you will need to get on line if Windows won't boot.

How else would you yell for help on the forum?
