Audio Driver for Dell 9300 in window 7

Hello everyone,
I have Installed windows7 on my dell 9300. I have problem with my Audio. I have installed the XP driver in compatibility mode for sound. The device manager show the driver is installed but there is no sound.
I cannot figure the problem, if any body can help.

I assume you have an Inspiron 9300 ??? Dell does not support anything but XP on this model. The sound is SigmaTel STAC 975X AC97. There are some third party drivers HERE that may work. If not, you will have to use a USB connected sound device that is Win 7 compatible.

The XP drivers are not compatible, even if installed in compatibility mode. Several sound functions are handled different in Vista/Win7/Win8 than they are in XP.
