Greetings,

I just bought a music CD. When I play it in my car, it shows the song information. Is it possible to write song information when burning an audio CD?

Thanks,
Shane.

Yes with the right burning software and the correct format type.

I have a recording studio and do a lot of CD Audio Burning. I use Nero "Burning ROM" burning program. It allows the CD title, song titles, artist, etc. However you must use "Disc/Session At Once" and have CD Text checked.

Other CD burning programs may also allow this. I used to have Roxio and it was hit and miss with Roxio.

CyberLink Power2Go came pre-installed on my laptop. It allows you to add "CD text", but this feature doesn't seem to be well supported in MP3 players (Windows Media Player, Winamp, etc.).

Thanks,
Shane.

If this is just a matter of CD-Text encoded in the .CDA files on the original, I would look for audio burning software that offers the same conversion from MP3 tags or just from ripping discs to SOME format, but keeps it intact, to then burn?

I would hope they would brag about it somewhere in their application sales/info page.

It looks like the standard is called CD-Text. Windows Media Player has a plugin that will show song information. Not sure about Winamp.
