Battery not chargin windows 7 64 bit error plugged in no charge

Ive done a clean install and in the midst of putting back on my programs, im getting the error battery plugged in , not charging, i uni stalled the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery in device manager, scanned for changes and its back again, still same error, any ideas pls, genuine dell charger and new battery which was charging yesterday, battery meter doesnt flag up any issues, any ideas pls ? thanks

Hi Linda ... What percentage is the Battery at .. Also does it show up in the BIOS .. You are never out of trouble girl

your right girl always in bother , same in my younger days lol this afternoon, seemed like the plug in source was giving off no power, so its used all the battery, off for a few hours now back on-line, and its working off the power, sitting at 5% Its a new battery and health is good , just not charging, updated the bios ::

maybe you can see something i cant lol

Hi Linda No need to check the BIOS now the Adaptor is working ... Where did you get the Battery from .. That is my first thought though could be other problems .. Aint no easy solution to this one

Ebay lol whats getting me it was working ok, mind you no probs there its only over a week old, can contact the seller, and tell them of the issue and see what they say, watch this space lol i can be a wee :devil2: lol will update you

morning pal , now here i am sat with the black coffee pot and the battery is charging, you know the bit on the charger, box type bit it was roasting hot when put off laptop, so maybe its that as battery meter says battery health good, no probs there i can take it back to the guy got it from along the road just sat past, know him so will call him and tell him to get me a replacement, or i shall give it another day just to see how it goes, pulled the battery out , back in , alls well for now, no doubt your new pal WILL be back lol Linda :0)

Good morning Linda .. Leave things for a day or so .. See how things go .. I have heard that some Dells dont charge the Battery until its below a certain level .. I dont think that was your problem though .. I am wondering now could the Charger have problems . But time should tell . Catch you later
