I have a 6 or 7 year old HP 5610 that we have scanned at least 1000+ doc. and printed 2000 or 3000+ paper and card stock and still going great.
If the cost-performance ratio on PC's had stayed with that of printers we could buy a top of the line gaming rig for $299.99 today. My wireless Canon aio was cheap and has been a great performer for 4 years now. I think my next printer is going to be a HP. Linux likes HP drivers over all others, I still haven't got Linux to talk to my Canon.
Newegg has some good black Friday sales going, sucked me into buying a lap top I don't need. Now I can try W8.1 on a touch screen.
