Bits of graphics stuck on screen

This is odd. Recently, if I right mouse click and choose copy, I get the bar that says Copy stuck on the screen as a block. Windows works fine, except for this graphic remnant. Also, I used a chess program recently. The same thing happened when I used a popup menu. It left a bit of it behind! It stays there unless I change the screen resolution or reboot the computer.

What causes this? Any ideas for a fix?

What you describe is just a peculiar behavior with Windows. It happens without reason or rhyme and your solution is as good as any I have tried. You can kill 'dwm.exe' in task manager as another way to fix it.

Maybe some with more knowledge than me will have a real solution.
