Black double curser lines on screen

Check out attached any one ever have this happen the all all black not white as in the snip and the blink of and on and i can mouse a square around then and make then go away but they come back.

Try another monitor...then try turning off every thing on the same electrical circuit....

Could it be artifacts or not now today so far they are gone.

They were gone till I moved the mouse and opened something up like my user name folder. well will have to try another monitor tried another cable so far and updated the CCC.

could be electrical interference.....turn off everything electrical near the computer and see if the problem goes away

Thanks tried that and still have the black lines they are like in a perfect grid pattern at times ordered a new vapor x HD6770 to see if it is the video card after all someone said it is the Vram I think just ran Dirt and it had 258 errors or whatever they were called at 30fps. I tried another monitor also same thing lines.

I like to try the no money solutions before suggesting a new card....nothing worse than having a problem follow you...here is some examples of video card problems..

Well today they are gone i use the Media center to watch tv or listen to the music channel all night and it was losing sound all night or at least when i would wake up but the lines right now are gone and the Malicious full software Microsoft scan is done which might have been causing the other issues, since it was running all night, with no problems found, and i have checked and did just about everything on the list from the link that was just posted thanks .

Well I surfed for awhile looking at the video card link and the card was at 44c now its at 35c and the black columns of lines are back only thing different is i turned of the Media center and just had Firefox and my money file open. Ha well we will see when the new card comes if the card is the issue , i have the identical card in my media center pc downstairs but two much troble to take it out to try the other card . The black lines are on this post as i am typing the text. 6 minus signs to be exact.

Play around with open programs...see if anything changes....

When I am watching Tv with Media center there are no black lines on screen it is perfect

I have played with so many things i am finding thing i never new i had Thanks for the help its like I drew a pattern on the desktop some are minus signs some are equals and some are equals with a dot to the right of the longer line now at times sometimes the whole screen is filled with the 5 columns and you click the mouse left click and they go away.

Check inside the case for a stopped fan....blow out everything while your there.....

Thanks good idea been there did that reseated the card etc checked ram then reseated that also checked other cards. I almost had my self convinced that some one is remotely doing this but the way they blink and the randomness of the black lines i said i's good but nobody is that good. Plus i am behind a router and Symantec End Point protection 11.5 with the firewall on to ask if anything tries to access the system.

Guess if its not the card, i can always put the card in this system my media center which has the identical card and run two 5670's in the media center and i will have an excuse to build a new system with an i3 5 or7 cpu and the newest chipset, had to get permission from boss (wife) to order the card which she agreeded have to fix the problem or use the GPU for a clients system some time in the future.

So far no black lines today which makes me think it could be the vram deal like someone said on another Forum. The same thing happens when you have system memory bad sometimes it acts up others it doesn't, so is that the case her, but its the memory on the video card. Even check power supply voltages.

Well the HD5670 is off to Athlon Micro for RMA marked the card and took pics of it so i can see what i get back or if they find anything wrong with it, but the new Hd6770 Vapor X is a keeper and have got a free copy to Dirt 3 not that I play that many games, but with heavy load on GPU has got up to 46c so far. When I get the other card back might do the dual set up on my other Media center system which has the identical card. Thanks for every ones help.
