Lately on my screen, a small rectangular 'black hole' has been randomly appearing in different locations. No matter what the display is (browser, photoshop, mediaplayer, etc.) it won't go away. The first thing I thought was the monitor, so I cycled the power, nothing - reset the settings - nothing. This was followed by a system restore - nothing. As simple curiosity gave way to serious monomania I placed the cursor over it and .... GONE! However, it does return now & then and I apply this same 'fix'. I think my machine is showing the first sign of old age (born 2009). I really don't want it to be a side-effect of an MS update. Questions/comments/suggestions?
(I'm thinking of trying sfc, but have little hope as this utility has never run clean and all here who analyzed the log I submitted could never discover the problem.
-thx
