May not be the best site to put this in but this is the only place where i will most likely get a response.

As the title suggests my computer will just go black and become unresponsive for no reason occasionally only when minimizing, maximizing, launching and rarely when exiting a game.
Looking at other threads online all i can come to is that for some reason my HD7850 radeon will power down to the point where it cant revive without a reboot which supposedly happens in some HD7000 (or higher) versions of graphics card. What i don't get is why exactly it does this at points when it does not need to otherwise it would be the temp but that sits at 43 when fans are at 39% output and 45 when 20% output while gaming it comes around 49(min)-61(max), according to gpu tweek, which should not be the problem being that is pretty normal temperature.
As for any logs...well i kinda forgot where they are put. :o
*edit* it seems this happenes whenever a game is in full screen.

perhaps obvious but you did not mentioned so I am going to say it... have you updated your video and audio drivers the correct way yet? How about windows updates?

yes they are constantly checked for updates mainly by driver booster pro besides this has been happening even after an update was found for my graphics card.

Driver Booster, I assume, install the newest driver on top of the old one so it does not update correctly, you have to do it manually and correctly but anyways... are you overclocking? perhaps those games don't like it

I swear i replied to this comment before but knowing my modem it probably doped out when i was replying and then i forgot about it or something.
Anyway no I'm not overclocking and i'v been using driver booster for years and has found driver updates that even steam would not be able to find (in the case of GPU updates at least as steam will pretty much only look for that) and i myself have not been able to find even when going on the official sites where they usually release updates it has managed to get them to either work or at least find them and has never been the cause of a fault i.e. drivers being out of date have never been a problem for me ever.
At least i have a temp solution of staying off of full screen games so that should be good enough for now, although will destroy my immersion in skyrim that i have been working towards by adding mods and such in which case both skyrim and arma3 have never 'crashed' my GPU and will minimise/e.ct. completely fine.

This might not be the same issue as I get a blank screen following Windows 7 64-bit login (no cursor), but thought I'd mention it anyway...
I'd looked at the event viewer, started and stopped services, and even changed my graphics card. This was happening before I changed the video card and it's still happening, but although it appears to be video-related I am not sure what's causing it (my new graphics card is an MSI R6450).
What I've discovered, however, is that my monitor light stays blue (not the amber it would turn if the connection were lost). And, if I turn the monitor off and then on I'll get a few seconds of visible desktop before it goes blank. I'm using a DVI connection if that makes a difference.
AND, if I make sure all active windows are not maximized it doesn't happen. It seems DIRECTLY related to maximizing the active window. Doesn't appear to matter which application I'm using -- maximized window = blank screen. I haven't played around with whether or not the size of the window matters (i.e., how close to maximizing the window I can get..)
Hope this helps someone. If this is your issue, at least knowing to keep the windows from maximizing buys you some visible desktop time to pursue other causes...
Monica

seems like that is pretty much the same issue here.
i have a temp solution other then stay in restore down is to try and get the game/program to play in 'fake full screen mode' also known as 'boarderless mode', try looking up ways to get whatever programs you usually use to go into those modes. If you can't then you just can't, simple as that.
BTW my CPU temp sits on 40-50 on idle and hits 70 as its max at gaming, regardless, so it defenitly isnt overheating, but i know i do need more fans.
