So here is the problem I have
I have an LG BH08LS20 Blu ray drive which I have used for about 4 months to play blu ray movies.
I was running XP x64 with PowerDVD 7.3 which was bundled with the drive.
I then started dual booting with Win 7 RC x86 with the same PowerDVD software and it still worked fine.
Recently I installed Win 7 Ultimate x64 and ever since I have not been able to play blu ray movies.
Now I would normally conclude that the Blu laser is fried but I still have XP x64 and I can play movies in XP.
Just to rule it out I installed Win 7 x86 and it still doesn't read movies.

It reads regular data discs just fine.

I have tried powerDVD 9 Ultra and ArcSoft total Media theater and they dont work either.

Any Ideas/thoughts on what might be causing this issue?

Only thing I can think of is that you might have had some codecs on WinXP that you don't have on 7. Try searching up "Klite codec pack" on Google and download that. It's complicated, but just install everything if you're okay with that...otherwise, select what parts you want to install and install. It may work, but it's a longshot. If it doesn't, then...dunno.

I am running Win7 64; with the same drive and using TMT3 Plat and have no such problems.

Did you download the latest patch for TMT3 from the arcsoft site?

Already updated drives firmware to 2.0 which is the latest.
Have all neccessary codecs throught the Community Codec Pack (CCC)
The version of TMT I used was a trial and it was fully updated.

If it helps any here are the complete specs on my system:

what happens if u connect ur monitor through a d-sub (vga) lead? sounds like it could be some hdcp issue.

Actually I just figured it out.

I reinstalled the nForce chipset drivers and everything worked.

I think it had something to do with the nForce SATA controllers.

But there you have it. If you are using a BH08LS20 with Win 7 x64 just reinstall the chipset drivers
