Several problems

1-Symantec-- remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials and the win 7 firewall.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

2-Pool Corruption (memory) probably caused by symantec but test to be sure

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

3-Run a system file check-- to verify the OS files

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html?ltr=S

Both of these crashes occurred with uptimes of a little over a minute or less and both indicate memory corruption. Since you did get an error with Memtest previously, I suggest you run it a gain for at least 10 passes. Run Memtest from a cold boot after your computer has been off for a while. This will take about 8 hours. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html. Post back with your results.

If you get no errors with Memtest, test your CPU and RAM with Prime following the instructions carefully in this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html. Run 3 separate tests, one on each of the settings (Blend, Small FFTs, Large FFTs). Post back with your results.

Usually a corrupt installation causes an application crash; but it can cause a system crash and a BSOD. If you think that your Starcraft installation is corrupt, uninstall it and reinstall it.

I think your problem is RAM to the errors showing in Memtest. Get your RAM problem fixed and then you will be able to tell if you have additional problems.

Zan, if you need help with your RAM, let me know. There are some gurus here who are really knowledgeable about RAM. I am not one of them; but I would be glad to ask them to look at this thread.

I would completely uninstall Starcraft and reinstall it from scratch. However, I suggest you wait until you solve the RAM problem before you install it. And you are very welcome for the help.

Run Memtest again from a cold boot after your computer has been off for a while. Post back with your results.

Run CheckDisk.
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

CHKDSK LogFile:
Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Windows 7).

Copy/paste the results into your next post.
