I'm wondering if my computer has a serious problem. Windows 7 Prof 64 with C and G drives. The blue screen seemed to happen after I had "safely" disconnected a USB drive that may or may not have been in a backup process. In my haste to disconnect, I didn't check to see that it really was safe. Here's the info from the unexpected shut down screen.

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48

I'm trying to use the DM log collector mentioned here: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html
It says "takes a while" - can I expect it to take more than 10 minutes?

I had read that before posting. In my post, I wrote:

It says "takes a while" - can I expect it to take more than 10 minutes?

It's now about 1-1/2 hours later and it still says "takes a while" in the DM Log collector screen.

For the 2 Logitech items, I wasn't able to find an update for the webcam (assuming "camera" means the webcam). From what I read, the Logitech webcam I have is for XP and not updated anymore. Though it has worked with Windows 7 for quite a while. I had to recently reinstall Windows.

For the Asus utility, I went to the ASUS website and started a chat with an employee via this link:
ASUS Live Chat
I told Alberth that I right-clicked the ASUS ATK0110 ACPI UTILITY in Device Manager then attempted to see if there were any updates. A message said there are no updates. Alberth said it's common for Windows to say there is no update and that he'd help me to get a download to update it. Then Alberth asked for my model number. I asked where to find the model number. Then suddenly the chat screen went white and the chat person was gone. I tried numerous times to get the chat working again, but only get the white screen when I click "Components - Motherboard, Wireless, Display, Projector, Graphics Card, Server, Optical Storage" under ASUS Live Chat. I tried in 2 different browsers and cleared cookies.

You say to remove the ASUS driver. Via Device Manager I assume. If I remove it, will it cause more problems? Don't I need it for some reason?

Thanks

Drivers could be legt behind of the uninstaller didn't remove it.
If you expect problems, just create a restore point BEFORE moving the driver.

Moving, to test if there are any problems, if so just move the driver back, if not you can remove the driver.

So drivers could be left behind if the uninstaller didn't remove everything. I don't know how to "move" a driver. I think I'll wait to see if I get the BSOD again before moving/removing drivers. And will look into buying a new webcam. Thanks!
