Bluesoleil not recognizing my device, windows is.

I'm trying to use my copy of bluesoleil 6 with my bluetooth dongle, which worked previously on vista, but when I upgraded to 7 bluesoleil recognizes my device but "cannot start bluetooth". The windows bluetooth, however, does see my device and I can pair things with it, only the programs I want to use require me to use bluesoleil, not the windows stack. I've tried reinstalling bluesoleil, using bluesoleil 5, etc.

Is there a way to uninstall or disable windows' bluetooth program? When I right click on the windows bluetooth icon and click open settings, nothing happens.

hi,

yes u can disabled the windows bluetooth software, its a little bit of a mess to do so.

for that with bluesoleil try using ur bluetooth in a USB in the back of ur machine not on a usb hub or ext, i have constant issues with bluetooth working correctly sometimes when using a hub, but direct in the back seems to be ok more often than not.

and i take it also the bluetooth device its self shows CSR radio etc in device manager? showing its installed?

I have same problem:

BlueSoleil: can not start usb Bluetooth device after windows re-installation.


I have :
- windows 7 Ultimate 64 fresh installation (with installed current updates)
- USB device B- speech data stream :
USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_4839

Connector ID {bce876be-0b60-11e0-87cf-00221515f84f}
- BlueSoleil 8.0.338.0 installed (I am BlueSoleil 6 user,)
- USb device is installed on BlueSolei drivers.

This USB device was working correctly on BlueSoleil 6x and old windows 7 64 Ultimate installation.


Problem details:

After windows full re- installation and using BlueSoleil 8.0.338.0 there is problem: BlueSoleil is not able lunch USB device.
Before BlueSoleil installation USB BT device was working correctly on Windows generic drivers ( I was able to connect BT headset).



What I have done to solve this (using admin account and switch off anty virus software) :
- I have changed usb port and check device and other computer (it is working on standard Windows interface, same way like on my computer),
- I have reinstalled BlueSoleil several times ,
- I have tried to install BlueSoleil 6.x ,
- I have tried to change USB drives to windows generic (and windows interface appears and it start to work, but BlueSoleil is not able to connect),
- I have tried to set manually drives to BlueSoleil's ones from version 6 and 8,
- I have used BlueSoleil compatibility check tool to check it is is able to find my device (status device is supported by BlueSoleil),


But it did not help. I have gray BlueSoleil icon with options: my BT devices (i have tried to set USB) and lunch BT which after lunching is showing status (lunching BT device and it disappears after while without any results).

Exact same symptoms as the guy above me. Seriously, what the hell is wrong? Do I need to go and get a more expensive bluetooth dongle? Seriously...

I am in contact with Bluesoleil support on this case (during last 2 week I revived 2 mails ) but they are still thinking (very, very slowly - china IT support) . It seams that version 8 has some problem with device support and additionally if you tried to reinstall version 6x it will be impacted too somehow. (i have tried to remove drivers form 8.3 but it did no help)


I have received some info that it will be solved in next version but I am still pushing support for any urgent temporary fix.


I have checked 3 different Bluesoleil usb devices :
b-speech data stream 2.0 edr
tracer Bluesoleil device
logitech Bluetooth device.


All with same error: Bluesoleil is not uble to run device but all of them works on generic drivers. It seams that Bluesoleil is not able to work with windows 7 64 with curent updates.

I've got Bluesoleil 1.6 (Really old version) and a bluetooth dongle. It didn't run on Windows 7 but i tried running it on Compatibility mode (Windows NT 4.0 Service pack 5) and it installed. but i get the same problem "no bluetooth detected"
Forgot to mention that it didn't install at first. It said error code 0 (??) and cancelled installation.
At least i came a step further......
