Hi,
I brought a brand new Toshiba A660 laptop from a retail store a couple months ago.
While using the latest IMVU (v450.0), my machine randomly blue screens once or twice during the session.
Others on IMVU forums who are having the same problem as me are also using Windows 7. Once they downgrade to Win XP, the BSoD stops.
I have contacted Toshiba who blame IMVU for software incompatibility. Toshiba say the laptop is not covered under warranty as they claim the fault is with IMVU. Toshiba stated that replacing the current graphics card is not the solution as there is nothing wrong with the current card. Seems to me that they do not want to take the blame and I feel helpless, ripped-off and stuck this with high-end laptop that isn't doing what its designed for.
I do not want to run recovery disk (as Toshiba suggested) as few others on IMVU forums have stated that that does not work.
I do not want to use an older version of IMVU as the latest version is needed to perform tasks that the later versions lack.
Please guide me through the procedures needed to stop the blue screens while using IMVU.
Thanks in advance.
