BSOD after shutting down PC

Is the cd a cd-rom, cd-r or cd-rw?

cd-rom = only reading
cd-r = recordable, write once only
cd-rw = rewritable, write erase and re-write again endless times

That was my bad, I didn't put in the sfc /scannow first. I did it and it told me to restart. I got the BSOD again, but it told me to complete the option again and that's what I'm doing now.

I'm not understanding you. How's the option gone when that's not a part of my computer. I can buy blank disks.

The sfc /scannow option doesn't work. It says, There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again. Problem is, I can't restart windows because I can't go past the two options, "Launch system recovery" and "start windows normally."

It is about that you need to be able to do some tests, that isn't possible when a dvd+r has already been used.

If you go to the store to get disks, I would instead of disks get a USB from around 8GB.

Ok then what shall I do after that? I'm going to get a stand alone HD after christmas now that I know stuff like this happens.

The seagate file is an .exe file not an iso. I don't know how to convert it into a .img. renaming it doesn't work.

Download the .iso from: SeaTools | Seagate
In the left middle of the page you can see 'Downloads'
Click on 'SeaTools for DOS' to download the .iso
