This happens only when trying to hibernate, if the pc was up for a long time.

there are known issues with Win7 and sleep/hibernate. the usual solution is to turn off sleep/hibernate, but that's not always practical for laptop users. You could turn it off and see if that helps. I don't know of any workarounds for this but someone else on the forum might.
