Hi everyone! I have been getting several BSODs for about a month now, about four to five times I think. I'm not sure what kind the older ones were, but the most recent one, I was on Facebook using Chrome while playing songs on WMP, and what I remember from reading the BSOD is 'Bad Pool Caller'. Here's what I got after the restart:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.11
Locale ID: 13321

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: c2
BCP1: 0000000B
BCP2: AA025D30
BCP3: 581868C0
BCP4: AA026338
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\111212-29671-01.dmp
C:\Users\Alyssa\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-83179-0.sysdata.xml

The background programs running were: Synaptics Pointing Device, Toshiba Eco Utility, Realtek PCIe Family Controller, Rainmeter, Toshiba Bulletin Board, Avast, some Java update something, and Action Center. I'm using a Toshiba NB520, with Windows 7 Starter 32-bit.

The earlier BSOD I was not able to read, but I was able to save the problem signature:

I read somewhere that Bad Pool Caller could be caused by hardware defects. There were times when I see horizontal lines flickering on my screen whenever I use the laptop for long periods of time. Is that related to this or something? I also just read one of the threads here that it could be caused by a Daemon Tools, and have just uninstalled it before making the ZIP file.

I'm really bothered by this since the warranty deadline of the laptop I'm using is in a month. Could anyone help me? :( Thank you so much.

Still no replies? Does this happen often in the seven forums? :(

Welcome to SevenForums.

I've checked your .dmps and hopefully its nothing related to hardware failure. :)

Here are some steps based on the errors from the .dmps:

Start with uninstalling Avast! antivirus. It is contributing in your BSOD-s and is often a cause of BSOD-s on some systems.

Code:
bb71767c 8d09629cUnable to load image \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\aswSnx.SYS, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for aswSnx.SYS

Use Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test:
Update the Intel Storage drivers.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
You have way to many items at start-up. Free up the start-up, nothing except the antivirus is usually needed.
Let us know the results, good luck :)

UPDATES:

1. You said that I should update my Intel drivers so I went to the Intel website and found this: Intel® Driver Update Utility It said that I should contact my computer manufacturer for updating the driver for the graphics media accelerator because technical issues might arise if I did it myself (screenshot in attachments). But I also saw the other link you posted (Windows Drivers | Download & Update Windows Drivers | Easy Driver Pro) which can help me update my Windows drivers. Are the Windows drivers different from the Intel drivers? What do I do about updating/fixing them?

2. I've uninstalled avast by the way, and have MSE running. I actually had them running at the same time before you told me to uninstall avast. I guess that's not a good thing. :))

3. I've done the system file checker thing before but it said that there were no problems. However I typed /verify in instead of /scannow so I'm not sure if it makes a difference. I'll try doing it again though.

4. I have yet to do the Disk Checkup and freeing up the start-up. For the latter, I'm thinking of using CCleaner rather than msconfig because it seems easier to use.

5. So far, no BSODs and booting has been noticeably faster since I uninstalled avast. I'll be downloading Speccy after I've done everything you have asked me to do.

AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH. :D Whoever you are, you're definitely better than the computer guy I went to who told me that my computer had to be reformatted, just because I told him about the BSOD pssshhhh.
