thefatshizms, what Arc says is absolutely true. He will tell you I had trouble with mine last week. Rather than spending the time to chase down what was wrong and more time to fix it, I did a clean install and am running fine right now. Had you done a clean install when this thread started, you'd be up and running with no problems long before now.

A lot of files like Japanese language pack, Canon printer driver etc are corrupt beyond repair. Better than repairing them individually, start as fresh. Follow http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html to get a perfect working windows installation.

Okay, is there anyway of reinstalling windows without the key/cd (not illigal) as this windows was installed by my granddad as he has the cd + key at his house and I won't be able to get it for some time.

Thanks guys! For some reason since today there have been 0 crashes! I don't know why but it seems to have "fixed it self" either that or I'm lucky for a moment and it's going to crash soon. I have the iso downloaded and at the ready if the pc does infact crash again.

I'll report back here if I crash again or report back within a few days to confirm it hasn't crashed and has been fixed.
